Exhibition text written by Mia Palmer-Verevis for Sorse Gallery

I acknowledge that I currently live and work between the unceded lands and water ways of the Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri, Woi-wurrung people of the Kulin nation and the Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation. I pay my respects to elders, past and present and acknowledge the importance of their continued connection to place and culture. Sovereignty was never ceded –  always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
